BPOs located in rural areas and tier 2 and 3 cities are expected to drive the growth of the Indian BPO sector in coming years, experts said on Wednesday.
"I think we have just started touching the IT space in Gujarat. In the wake of demand, we see business growing in 44 cities of the country, out of which Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat have clearly emerged on the top," Nasscom President Som Mittal said, while speaking at IT Summit-2010 organised in Ahmedabad.
"While $30 billion is the achievable target, 50 billion is the aspirational target", Nasscom President Som Mittal said on Tuesday while releasing the findings of a study on India's BPO industry conducted jointly with the Everest Group, a global strategy consulting group.
